Jeanette is a 200 E-RYT and YACEP yoga teacher who’s been traveling the globe, studying and sharing yoga, meditation, herbal wisdom, traditions and wisdom from other cultures, as well as sharing the medicine of cacao. She is exuberant and mindful and encourages open-heartedness, curiosity and wonder when guiding others through their process of deepening their relationship with themselves.
In 2019 Jeanette completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with the Kula Collective in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. Since becoming a teacher she has devoted her time to expand her knowledge and share her practice around the world.
Jeanette has been practicing and learning herbal medicine since 2018. As a student of herbalism, Jeanette is tenacious and thirsty for knowledge. Following the path of herbal medicine in connection to the four elements; earth, wind, water and fire, and the 4 bodies; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. After completing herbal studies at both Chestnut school of herbal medicine and One Willow Apothecary, Jeanette continues to study the Master Herbalist Diploma and Clinical Herbalism apprenticeship with WIld Rose Herbal College.
Her work with cacao started back in 2016 when she was first introduced to the spirit of the plant in Costa Rica. Devoted to the meticulous understanding of the traditional ways of working with cacao, she has worked hard to deepen her own connection with the plant’s spirit and healing medicine. In 2021, during one of her visits to the natural cacao forests of Guatemala, Jeanette was honored to be given permission to share the medicine of cacao by Mayan Spiritual Leaders and the spirit of cacao.
Over the last 10 years, Jeanette has been deeply drawn to work with many forms of meditation including: mindfulness, mantra, Vipassana, MBSR (Mindfulness-based stress reduction), meditative journey work, guided plant spirit meditations and multidimensional journey work. Jeanette has also experienced various stretches of silence in vipassana, retreats, and in various trainings. She spent many years immersing herself in the mystical teachings and invisible realms.
In May of 2024, Jeanette completed the Moon Course in San Marcos, Lake Atitlan at Las Piramides Del ka. She studied, practiced and worked with the Hermetic teaching and the Initiatic System. She was also initiated by the temple to work with the guides of Tarot. Humbly using this connection with the guides in her practice of self-reflection and to assist others gain awareness and trust in their inner knowing.
Jeanette is also working towards completing her 4 years as a moondancer. The Moondance is a sacred ceremony that finds its descent in the Mexican lineage. The ceremony is a four night dance that happens under the full moon and requires devotion, discipline, healing and prayer. Dancers participate in four days and four nights of fasting along with many hours of work and prayer in the Temescal.
