Find your Nature

Founder of Yin & Tonic | Herbalist | Cacao Keeper | Yoga Educator | Ritual Guide

Jeanette is a 200 E-RYT and YACEP-certified yoga teacher who has spent the last decade traveling the world, immersing herself in yoga, meditation, herbal wisdom, cross-cultural traditions, and the sacred medicine of cacao. Through her teachings, she encourages open-heartedness, curiosity, and a sense of wonder, guiding others into a deeper, more intimate relationship with themselves and the living world around them.

In 2019, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with the Kula Collective in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. Since then, Jeanette has dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge and sharing her practice with communities around the globe—always with reverence for the lineages that inspire her path.

A devoted student of the plants, Jeanette began studying herbal medicine in 2018. Her herbalism practice is rooted in the wisdom of the four elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—and the four sacred bodies: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. She has studied at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and One Willow Apothecary and is currently continuing her education through the Master Herbalist Diploma and Clinical Herbal Apprenticeship at Wild Rose Herbal College.

Jeanette's connection to cacao began in 2016, when she was first introduced to the spirit of the plant in Costa Rica. Since then, she has walked a path of deep reverence and learning, committed to understanding and preserving traditional ways of working with this sacred medicine. In 2021, during a visit to the cacao forests of Guatemala, she was deeply honoured to receive permission to share cacao from Mayan spiritual leaders and from the spirit of cacao herself. Her approach is rooted in respect, reciprocity, and the understanding that cacao is both a medicine and a living ally.

Jeanette’s spiritual practice is anchored in meditation. Over the past decade, she has immersed herself in various modalities including mindfulness, mantra, Vipassana, MBSR, guided plant-spirit meditations, and multidimensional journey work. She has spent extended periods in silence and continues to explore the invisible realms through practice, prayer, and presence.

In 2024, she completed the Moon Course at Las Pirámides del Ka in San Marcos, Lake Atitlán—studying Hermetic teachings and the Initiatic System. During this time, she was also initiated by the temple to work with the guides of the Tarot, which she now incorporates into her practices of reflection and spiritual support.

Jeanette is also walking the path of the Moondance, a sacred four-year ceremonial commitment rooted in a Mexican lineage. The Moondance is a four-night ritual held under the full moon, involving fasting, prayer, temazcal, and devotional dance. It is a ceremony of discipline, healing, sisterhood, and deep reverence.
